Day of Shecurity Conference Tracks &

Call For Presenters - December 2022

Call for Programs is closed. Thanks to all who submitted!

Day of Shecurity has now built a global community so to continue offering location-agnostic opportunities, we’ll be hosting a virtual event on December 8, 2022

The lack of gender diversity in cybersecurity is a matter of economic, health, and national security. It will take a global movement to move the needle. The best way to address this gap is to create access and opportunity to training and education for upskilling and reskilling. The founders created the Day of Shecurity Conference to raise awareness to women of all ages about cybersecurity careers. With numerous jobs titles nestled under 45 job categories, there are a plethora of areas to work within cybersecurity. These jobs are technical and non-technical, as well as fun and lucrative. We can inspire others to join us through a free day of seeing these jobs through seasoned female and non-binary practitioners’ eyes!

The 2022 Virtual Day of Shecurity Conference will offer several knowledge tracks to choose from, including disruptive technologies, hands-on training and workshops, the business skills of EQ, and security career development. Keynote speakers will connect with these topics, and the day will provide numerous opportunities to discover security.

The December 2022 Virtual Day of Shecurity Conference will offer multiple knowledge tracks to choose from:

  • Cybersecurity Career

  • Emotional Intelligence & Leadership

  • Trending in Cybersecurity

  • Future of Cybersecurity Work

  • Security Operations

  • Privacy, Privacy Tech, Trust, & Data

  • Interactive Workshops

  • Governance, Risk, & Compliance

We’re excited to see the topics that are submitted within these talk tracks as we provide opportunities for the community to discuss what’s happening in cybersecurity, where we’re going, and how to be culture & people-first organizations.

We ask that our lead presenters be women or non-binary. Why?

The primary mission of Day of Shecurity is to impact the lack of gender diversity in cybersecurity. This is why we use the Day of Shecurity Conferences to build visibility for the amazing women and non-binary folx in our community. While we seek women and non-binary folx as our lead presenters, we know the power of men who are allies. We encourage the support and encouragement of women and non-binary friends & colleagues in program proposals, providing feedback, and supporting presentation design.

Day of Shecurity and presenting at it are great opportunities for allies who are men to help lift up their mentees who are women and non-binary folx. If they don't have one, then someone at their company works too. If not there, then someone from their professional network. We all know a sharp woman or non-binary person in cyber that deserves the spotlight. Help us find them!
